Once upon a time [1965] we had a pure and proper meteorological station at St Peter's Catholic primary school NENWE. Some other schools had the same. At a mini round about between the main Old hall /church and the Ogwu eze block ,precisely where the church is situated now , we had on the circle a cock wind direction gauge with a metal cock on a pole (wind vane) showing the wind directions and a rain gauge which the teachers measured. Mr Paul Orji , Mr. EE Egbuaba of Mgbowo and one teacher called “Awgu North” were particularly in charge of this station and measurements.
